Andrew Wyeth's Favorites

In a 2005 interview with Artist's Daily, Andrew Wyeth was asked to name his favorite watercolor painters of all time, those who inspired him, including historical figures and contemporaries. His selections included the giants of watercolor, including Homer, Sargent, and Hopper. Also included are surprises, including some of his contemporaries who were finding their style during the period when Wyeth's stock was rising.

His interview has caused me to research these painters who he held in esteem. I have reviewed some of their paintings, as I can locate them online, and chosen particular paintings to copy. I have learned a lot from these copies, including how to insert my own compositional features working with a limited palette (usu. cobalt blue, burnt sienna, quinachrodone gold).
